Charterhouse will again be running a fabulous auction for both Classic Cars and Supercars.
Charterhouse auctioneers and valuers have been involved with classic cars, motorcycles and automobilia since 1999 with the first specialist auction being conducted in 2000.
Charterhouse had the pleasure of conducting the first classic car auction in the beautiful Castle grounds in 2009, which was very successful. Since then each subsequent auction has been built upon with hundreds of classic cars and motorcycles being sold – with a top price achieved by an Aston Martin DB6 restoration project for a not inconsiderable £150,000.
Charterhouse hold a program of specialist classic car and motorcycle auctions throughout the year at national events such as the Netley Marsh Autojumble in September and the Bristol classic car show in June. Both these events and Classics & Supercars at Sherborne Castle are attended by thousands of potential buyers, which is a unique selling point for Charterhouse’s clients. Having achieved some excellent results for their vendors at Sherborne Castle, they look forward to holding more successful auctions in the future.
Visitors, young and old, will be able to demonstrate their racing skills on a high-tech slot car racing circuit run by Exmoor Slot Racing Club.
The custom built circuit is based on the Scalextric Digital system, which allows up to 6 cars to race on a 2 slot track with lane change overtaking.
Live race data is displayed with timing to 1/1000th of a second.
Fastest lap of the day wins a Scalextric car!
Children’s Area
A safe play area particularly for younger children with bouncy castle, slides, and roundabouts will again feature at the show.
Craft Fair
In our dedicated marquee and adjacent plots see more than 30 craft stalls where quality products, including art, greetings cards, gifts, pottery, woodworking, jewellery, clothing (quality/retro), fine foods, etc. will be displayed.
Great live acts will be performing throughout the show including:

The Pantasy Steel Band
The Pantasy Steel Band (or Steel Drum Band as they are sometimes called) are one of the UK’s finest Steel Bands. They play across the country at a wide range of events.
Their steel band music is a good mix of some traditional Caribbean Music which is very laid back and works well as background music, through to more upbeat repertoire which is often more recognisable and includes steel pan arrangements of well known songs by artists such as Bob Marley and UB40.
The event, which is now established as one of the UK’s premier car shows, has in recent years raised over £230,000 for national and local charities.
The British Heart Foundation was our headline charity for the 2019 show.
The British Heart Foundation research all heart and circulatory diseases and the things that cause them. Heart disease, stroke, vascular dementia, diabetes and many more.
